Promotion Code Says Invalid

I received a promotion for $200 of a Samsung Note 20 or Ultra. When I try and apply it it says it's invalid. A chat Representives said I can't use the promo code and get credit for a trade in at the same time.

Is this true? Why would anyone choose to only get $200 off when most trade ins are close to $400?

Hi Laura,

The code I was sent via email was UPGNOTE for $200 off a Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra.

The only other discount I was trying to get was the trade in value of my phone which was $400 according to the Verizon website.

Other retailers are offering $200 off the Note 20 plus trade in value but for some reason the code wouldn't work for me and the answer I received from the online chat Representive was that you can't combine the promo with the trade in discount. Which seems odd, especially given other retailers are allowing it.
