I have to use up my data to use voicemail? Time to change carrier after 16 years.
Basic visual voicemail from what I understand needs a data connection but it hardly uses any. If it's that much of a worry just dial *86 and check that way. I would be surprised if other carriers didn't require a data connection for visual voicemail. I know when I had T-mobile several years ago I needed a data connection for visual voicemail.
Belle62, we would hate for you to leave the Verizon Wireless Family. We are happy to review plans to see what may be a better fit. In addition, Visual Voicemail is an app that does use data. However, you can always access your voicemail by dialing *86 from your Verizon phone to avoid data usage.
