Why do I receive texts from [phonenumber] @ vzwpix.com to my email?

This only happens with one colleague and not every time. They are texting me but their text is converted to an email sent from the above email address. The email has a txt file attachment with the text of the text message. The issue is definitely on their end. Any suggestions I can forward to them to fix?

We are both using iPhones and usually we text back and forth using iMessage. This happens very rarely, just curious why. Thanks!
