Is anyone else having issues with TEXT messages not sending?
I have had the same issue all morning. Either they aren't being delivered, or there is a huge gap between when I send, and the recipient receives it.
I've had this issue all afternoon. Does anyone know if it's being addressed?
I have had the same problem today as well. Nothing is helping. Cleared the cache and data. Reinstalled app, powered off and on a few times.
I've had the same issue since this morning as well. Texting works fine over 4G, but doesn't work over wifi. Hope this issue is acknowledged and resolved soon!
Apparently, Verizon doesn't check the community boards because the person I'm currently speaking to had no idea about this issue.
And thank you for that bit of information about text messaging working on 4G but not wifi. Again, the CS agent I'm speaking with had no clue. Don't know if we'll find a fix, but at least it's something to go on.
I texted with VW agent and they stated reports are being given to their engineering dept and they are working on it. That was at approx 9:30 EDT
Message from Verizon tonight. (We definitely understand the importance.I do see that it is an on going issue and was reported to our Engineering team who are already working on it. However lets us try some troubleshooting steps and check if it is working.)
Started this morning. Can't have wifi enabled or my text went deliver. I can receive them while wifi is enabled, but to text a contact back I have to toggle wifi off and on. Verizon couldn't help at all. I spent hours on the chat with "Tech Coach" Anyone find a solution???
I have 2 phones. I just sent test texts to each one. It appears to be fixed, but we'll see.
I had the same response from Verizon. They said they will notify us when it is fixed, but I am wondering how the heck they are going notify people? A mass email for the people that reported the issue?? smh - we pay too much money for things to not work properly. Just saying.
@stoll2212 - I agree. We pay way too much to have these issues. It's been working for hours, and still no notification from Verizon. Besides, how can we expect anything from them when they didn't know about the issue in the first place? People like me had to advise CS agents of the cause for issue. Just ridiculous.

I personally keep in touch with everyone through messaging myself, so I understand the importance of getting this problem fixed right away. I can take a closer look at the area and resolve this messaging issue for you. Where are you located (zip code)? What are the make and model of the phone you have and the application you are using?

I know the importance of making sure your messages work! What messaging app are you using? Is the app up to date on the phone?
The issue has been resolved for over 24 hours now. I no longer need help, but again thank you. For the record, my app is up-to-date, but I already went over this with three different CS agents over the phone 2 days ago. My messaging is working just fine now.
BARGLA73, we want to make sure your text messages are going through successfully. Allow us the opportunity to investigate. What is the Make/Model of your device? Which text message application are you using? Are all text messages impacted or only to certain individuals?

I do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. I have received this issue and we had an issues with the Messages+ application that should be resolved. There may be still be a delay of messages. We ask please update the software on the device to the latest version and then power off/on the phone. After this is done, please check the application.

As was stated earlier, this issue was resolved within 24 hours. It must have been a Verizon/Samsung issue as I made no changes to my phone.

Good morning, @OrangeJLo20 ! I wasn't just Samsung. I have a Samsung and a Google Pixel 3. Both were affected. It was a wifi issue.
