Issues with Weather, and some other apps, started about a day or so ago...

Recently l have been having issues when trying to get my weather app to update for my current location...will show the city/town but not the weather...and whenever I try to refresh it or get it to sync, I get the following error "Sorry, but the connection dropped while your weather information was downloading. Try again?" I've tried from different locations, turning it on/off, and taking out the battery. It seems like it also sporadically happens when I try to use some other apps or performing other functions (Daily Horoscope, trying to log in to Facebook etc). It also seems much slower at times...HELP.

It appears that one of your apps is interfering with your weather apps. My suggestion, any new apps you downloaded after your weather apps started to act up, uninstall them one by one and after each uninstall, check your weather apps. When your weather apps starts to act normal, you will know which apps is the one doing the interferring. Then you have to decide which apps is more important to you.

I dont think it has anything to do w/app interference. These same issue starting happening to me yesterday and I havent downloaded or updated any apps. HELP!!!!

It's the phone, if you are within the 30 day window get it replaced ASAP. This is what CS told me, it is not a network issue it is a phone issue.

I received a new update (not Froyo 2.2) 2 days ago and since then, several apps aren't working and my phone kept poping up with a Loading message. I went to the Verizon store. They flashed my phone ans wiped out all my apps.

Bunch of crap. Don't accept the update if you have the choice.

The weather issue on ur phone if its the one on main screen it runs off of your GPS. make sure in ur Location settings theyre all checked on. see if that helps. I got mine all checked i still at times were i live get a City thats 100 miles away on my phone But when I go out side it corrects itself. In the App store try Chartcross or GPS Test it will show u were the sattelites are located its a good app an it also tells ur alt. and speed. U can also check if U - R in a area that alltel once served that is now Verizon the Alltel Towers are slowly being switched over they should be Completed by the End of Year that is what I was Told By a T3 Tech I Wont hold my Breath on that one though. But here's Two things U Can have then Do 1. Check an see if a Hybred PRL can be pushed to your Phone if it can't just make Sure to do PRL update Once or Twice a Month! As it Helps For Both Voice an Data ! 2.Call Teck an See if Your SID is Up to Date For Ur Area. And If it Needs To Be Updated . Do it Manually ! Doing it By (*228 option one). Wont Install The New SID It Will Pute the old one Back IN. Dont be Afraid To Do this A Teck Can Show U How To Get into The Settings To Do the Update or SID Change. DincX110 :smileyhappy:
