also, i have all of my facebook friends in my contact list. how do i change that?

The easiest way to delete contacts is to go into your contact list, find the contact you want, then long press until the options menu pops up. You can choose delete contact from the list. To change which facebook contacts show up, go into your facebook app (the main page, not your news feed), hit menu> settings> sync contacts and choose sync with existing contacts.
