Blackberry Curve 8530 not charging?

I'm on my second one of these devices and I just got the second one today and it wont charge. When I plug it into the wall nothing happens, nothing lights up, no symbols nothing. I know there is nothing wrong with my electrical outlets (dad is an electrician and put in all of the outlets him self) I'm a new blackberry user, can someone help me please? Tech support is closed

When you recieved the second phone did you also get a new charger or are you using the original wall charger from the first phone?

 

Try using the USB cable from the phone to the computer. Does it charge that way?

 

Sometimes resetting the phone by removing the battery works wonders on BlackBerries.
