it’s not always the first text, but it usually is. Sometimes it’s in the middle of a group message. The only thing I’ve been able to figure out as to the cause was me switching carriers and phones. I’ve had T-Mobile, and Verizon, Android and Iphone. The problem started years ago with a different phone and carrier and has continued to my current iPhone and Verizon plan. The technicians over the phone at Verizon and the store in my town were not able to come up with a reason for this. So if you did eventually find a solution please let me know. I was going to change mobile phone numbers to see if that fixed the problem
