i see complaints about this from multiple customers are accumulating in Verizon Community >Services >Verizon the past few days, but official customer support only has semi-relevant questions to ask and no solutions. vzw customer support has not responded to my post though it's been up for 21 hours. i will be repeating my post every 24 hours (and noting this problem occurred right after Verizon increased my bill) until there's an official solution provided and i can verify i can send Gmail emails directly to my cell which arrive immediately.

Just had a look at Consumer Reports' dismal (but accurate) assessment of Verizon's performance. It's almost the polar opposite of when i chose to become a Verizon customer so many years ago. Glad to see there are companies like Ting and Consumer Cellular with high customer support scores to consider.

Just sent a test message from my gmail address to my phone number plus vtext. It should have been delivered immediately but it hasn't arrived yet.

So in answer to your question "Do you still need assistance?", that's a firm "yes".

But, i also see Lara608,, spidy2, shmuel3641, JasGot, and SpankyMcFarland have posts here describing essentially the same problem caused by Verizon.

So if you're going to provide "assistance", i hope you're ready to discuss the matter in public so other Verizon customers can refer to the information. And i fully expect you to be able to solve this problem completely. i also want the extra $5 per month on my most recent bill refunded for my trouble.

I have the same problem as well. I try to send from gmail account to my cell # at vtext.com and get nothing for between 50 minutes and 3 days.

If I send something from yahoo to the same number it is visible quickly some times, and doesn't work at all others.

I have the same exact problem. I am sending messages from gmail to my text and 1 of the numbers gets messages but very delayed (up to 8 hours so far), and the other gets rejected for the reason listed above.

This is odd. I am sure I can help figure what is going on. Can you tell me more about this? Does it happen every time with every person?

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. Has this issue been resolved? From some other research I've done it seems it could be an issue related to an overactive spam filter on the verizon server. Please help ASAP though, I rely on this service daily.

What more do you want to know? Clearly this is some sort of system wide issue.

I am delivering texts from gmail. One of them is going through, the other is getting blocked (I've since stopped the one that's betting blocked because I'm sick of getting undeliverable messages from gmail)

Making sure I am able to send a message from my gmail is crucial. I will be more than happy to assist. Please share with me what happens if you uninstall and reinstall the email address?

I am having the same problem as detailed by BigEars. However, the email messages I'm forwarding to @VTEXT.com are now all failing. This is extremely frustrating as I'm auto-forwarding messages from employers that I've submitted job applications so I can reply to them promptly.

We understand how important this is for you and want to help! To clarify, what happens when you try to send the email? Are you connected to Wi-Fi when sending the email?

This same issue is costing me $Thousands of Dollars$ in opportunity cost, because this isn't only happening to my vtext, but also my Field Nation work platform, that publishes all the work orders I'm not getting sent to my SMS text, because of permanent delivery failure. I've already worked with Verizon Tier2 Support, with no success.

Messages from Gmail/G suites to Verizon consumer domains may be throttled or blocked due to high volumes of malicious messages originating from Gmail email addresses using Google's outbound services. Seems like Verizon could just whitelist our Gmail addresses. I'm happy to give them mine in order to eliminate this problem. Assuming they want to do something about it, of course.

Also why was this not a problem for years and all of a sudden became a problem a few weeks ago? What changed on your end, Verizon?

This has been a problem off and on for OVER a year. See the other threads relating to VTEXT or VZWPIX in this Forum.

I know the importance of seeing this resolved so that business can proceed. Are the messages originating all to "phonenumber"@vtext.com or also to usernames as well? When did this appear to start?

I have not been able to receive a text from my gmail account since August 25, 2022.

I usually get one text per day. Occasionally I will get 3 or 4 in a day. So I do not think volume is at issue - at least in my case.

...the only cell providers which scored worse than Verizon in the Consumer Reports ratings were Lively and AT&T.

I tried to fix this problem by creating a new email address at @Outlook.com. According to Outlook, the problem is with the recipients (Verizons) server. Outlooks error message is much more informative than gmails. I have included it below for your reading pleasure.

Your message couldn't be delivered. Despite repeated attempts to contact the recipient's email system it didn't respond.

This issue is disruptive, and the response from Verizon support has been lackluster, to say the least, and patience across this thread is, understandably, wearing thin. Please review, extract & distill the issue reports contained in this thread, do some detailed analysis and develop a resolution plan. Then communicate it to the community. To do otherwise, would further erode Verizon Support's credibility.

I can understand how great of a tool this can be when needing to send a message to someone from your email account. When it comes to the Vtext.com option, we are unable to provide any assurance regarding the timeliness or receipt of messages. This is due to the inherent limitations of internet email. Additionally, as a large amount of malicious messages to our customer originate through email, at times messages may be throttled or blocked as a whole. This behavior is not unique to Verizon Wireless and can happen with other providers to protect their customers from unwanted or malicious messages.

You can also use Messages+ through your online My Verizon account to send messages through your computer from your phone number. https://www.verizon.com/support/verizon-messages-faqs/

My suggestion if sending a high volume of messages frequently would be to consider, if not already, a business account where you could subscribe to Verizon Enterprise Message.

I have the same issue, with @VTEXT.com never being received on the phone with the same bounced back email error.

I called Verizon, today, they send me to Level 2 support right away and then I got a msg their system had and error and hung up on me.
