WiFi

I apologize in advance if this is a basic question, but this is my first smartphone.

I have a Droid 2 and the unlimited data plan.

So my question is, are there any other fees associated with using WiFi to download apps and so forth?

I am not talking about the hotspot capibilities, just the use of WiFi.

No, of course not.

Unless, of course, you're using a wifi hotspot you have to pay to use, but that's not necessarily something that Verizon would be in control of.

No fees to use WiFi...(strange, huh?)

However, I have problem with WiFi, unless I disabled the radio (use Airplane mode). In Airplane mode, WiFI is more reliable.
