Compass calibration

According to the instructions when calibrating the compass you ptu the phone through a series of turns throughout the three axises when calibrated the compass turns green, It did when using 2'1. After updating to 2.2 I put the phone through the gyrations only to come up with a red compass . Anyone know if this a failure with th e caibration or just an undocumented color change

Thank You pcw a power down reboot did the trick. Thats one I'm going to have to keep in mind for the future. For all the little gliches

I too was having same problem yesterday. I just tried it again & it cailibrated. I went ahead & tried it again right afterward, & it agai turned red. I went ahead & powered it down w/ on / off button, & rebooted. I then tried again & it turned green. U might want to give that a try.
