i thought the universal inbox was motorola's whole "motoblur" UI thing. i could be wrong though. but i do agree with you, i wish the gmail app was integrated with the universal inbox.
Seems like the logic is there and you can add the Gmail account. But it fails to connect to the Google server/s. Here is the error I am getting - "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server."
I have no issues adding and connecting to other email accounts (MS Exchange, Yahoo, etc...). Really hope that 2.2 update will bring some solution to that issue.
