Did you make sure you have enabled GPS on your phone?
Make sure you have AGPS activated. There are areas that have poor GPS satellite coverage and the AGPS option can help by triangulating your location based off of Cell Towers.

Good deal, what did you do to get it working?

That's a pretty odd solution, but if it fixed the problem Great! Have you tried disabling it again to see if it affects the GPS?
I lost GPS and it turns out the sensor is not working. Turning on WiFi is great if you are walking near coffee shops. But if you have lost your GPS sat connection, you should check into it. I am expecting a recertified phone this week for this issue. aGPS and WiFi are only cheap imitations.
