yeah....what w40d1n1 said. i actually use http://m.facebook.com but i suspect it is the same??? it's the mobile version of the site. much better than the app, except you can't upload pics so i either send them via mms or use the app just to upload (or just hit the share arrow from the gallery).
Actually the is no way that you can fix this issue. You can try as it was suggested and use a different facebook app. Maybe facebook will change that flaw being that they are always updating and changing.
