deleteing all text messages

i have had my htc for approx 3 months. in this time, on 3 separate occasions, i have discovered that all of my text messages were deleted. the phone was not in use when this occured. It didn't matter if the text was 4 weeks old or 5 mins old, all were deleted. has anyone come across this issue? I have done the soft reset and that did not resolve the issue.

mine did that today also but mine erased all my messages, contacts and my memory card, which that really p*$$ed me off, i havent figured out why it did it, i called verizon and they said there is nothing they can do about the phone doing it and just to reset the phone and it should fix the problem,
