I have a droid and ordered a droid x. I went to the Verizon store today to get screen covers for when my new droid x comes and I asked about the 2.2 update. The rep there said that 2.2 will start hitting droid's 8/3/10 but it will not hit everyone's phone at one time, something like 5,000 customers each day. I was also told that 2.2 for droid x would probably be next week. Hope that helps.
