POP email Date problem after upgrade to 2.2 (Dec 31, 1969)

Have a problem with mine and my wife's droid-X after upgrading to Android 2.2.  Date on all email come's in as Dec 31, 1969.  First reported to Verizon, they sent me a replacement phone.  Had same issue with replacement phone.  Called back in was advised that it had to be an issue with the ISP (wrong).  My wife and I have 2 different ISPs on our phones and have the same problem with both.  Was then advised it is a Motorola issue. I do agree it is an operating system issue.  I just want it fixed.

Email is usually  timestamped by the program that creates it. Try  downloading another email application, if the time is the same, then there is a problem with the current application that you are using.  You can find other email applications on the Android Market Place.
