Contacts won't synch

MT gmail contacts haven't synched since 8/27 and I get an error now saying synch is not workimg, anyone else seeing this?

Some else is having the same issue with contacts not backing up, click HERE.

Thanks, that refers to backup assitant which is different. It seems to add the contacts to the phone if I add using gmail and vice versa, I just get an error.

Sorry about the error maybe there was a temporary issues try going through the process again listed below is the the steps..Hope this helps!

From the home screen, touch the applications tab(located at the bottom of the display).
Touch Gmail.
Press the Menu button.
Touch Accounts.
Press the Menu button.
Touch Account settings.
Touch Background datato enable applications to sync, send and receive data at any time.
Enabled when a green check mark is present.
Touch Auto-syncto enable data to sync automatically.
Enabled when a green check mark is present.
Touch an account.
Touch any of the following Data & synchronization options:
Enabled when a green check mark is present.
Repeat steps 9 and 10 as necessary to configure additional accounts.
- Sync Calendar
- Sync Contacts
- Sync Gmail
