Am I the only person that wants a better selection for feature phones? WOOO HOOOO 4 phones to choose from.

You may not be aware of this, but careful Verizon research has determined that unless you're willing to fork over the money for a data plan, you will be perfectly happy with a limited selection of lower quality devices with fewer features. You may want to consider another carrier if you don't agree with their assessments of your needs and wants.

I agree with you. I recently received the LG Cosmos. I have always favored LG but can't afford the data package. I would love a slide out qwerty like I have but with a bigger screen (or a touch screen) & a better camera. Thats about all I think it needs & it would be a perfect phone for those not wanting the data.

I have been with Verizon wireless for several years now and Live in Alaska where they claim not to have to service on the web site. But the map shows they have coverage. Anyway, I love Verizon but the feature phones i'm forced to have to buy Because i can't use a data plan up here are really boring. So for those of you that say upgrade to smartphones, tell verizon to let me purchase one and use it without having to purchase a data plan i can't use up here. Or get towers or service in Alaska So I can at least download some decent ringtones.

Honestly, while I think it'd be great to get non-smartphones with non-data features that are normally smartphone-exclusive, such as high-quality cameras, the simple fact of the matter is that there's a VERY niche market for them. Right now VzW fills that market with the redone KIN phones, but the market of people willing to pay high-end prices for non-smartphones is just tiny. **Most** (and this is the key here) people who buy feature phones don't buy them because they "don't want data", but because they "don't want to pay for/can't afford/etc data". There's just not enough money in making phones like the Env Touch (which originally didn't require data, and had a VERY high-end set of features, along with a VERY high-end price point, for a feature phone) anymore. We'll probably see one crop up every once in a while (right now the LG Octane is as close as any feature phone gets, outside of the KIN reworks), but it's going to be pretty much alone in that category due to market realities.

No, it does not help. I have a good PDA that is fully paid. Why can’t I use it on Verizon wireless network for talking and texting without having to purchase a data plan?
