I'm on my 3rd Droid in less than 1 year. I guess my memory isn't as good as some because when the 3rd phone came I thought I knew the drill: They send you just the phone so you need your battery and back cover. Then you send the defective phone back to them.
So Today I went to take a picture and it said it insert a smart card first. HUH? I don't remember any smart cards. It turns out it's above the battery and accessable after you remove the battery. I forgot to take mine out of the defective phone (I forgot I even had a smart card). So I called Verizon since the defective phone is in the mail, and asked for it back.
Sorry, not possible I was told but they would sell me another one for $80. Not possible? Hardly. Not profitable? I guess it would cost them some time and time is money. I wonder if they have a barrel full of these cards from dummies like me who forgot about them when they returned their Motorola junk? I wonder if they resell these?
I'll remember this when my contract is up. The only reason I use Verizon is because the reception was bad in my house with someone else. I just moved to Florida. Verizon, your short term gain will be a long term loss for you.
