Getting a Red Triangle

My GF's incredible had been trying to upload a FB photo since Christmas, so when I saw this I pulled the battery.  When I powered it back on it acted like I re-set the phone and I had to start all over with entering in the gmail name and password.  As I was putting her apps back on it said I was out of memory?  Pulling up the storage capacity it said unknown for the internal phone storage.  I tried to do a Factory Data Reset from the phone, when I did this it powered down and them came back up and is now stuck with a image of the phone and a red triangle with an exclamation mark.  I tried pulling the battery and doing it again w/out the SD card, but I have the same error.  Any ideas?  The phone is less than a year old and has not been rooted.

In that case I would just take it to the store and see what they can do, if its under a year it would still be under warrenty and they should be able to order you a replacement if they cant get it going.
