Droid 2 Google Calendar Sync Problem

I have set up google calendar sync on my Droid 2, and it works fine when it comes to transfering calendar dates from Google to the phone, but information entered into the phone directly does not sync back to Google Calendar. Does anyone know why this is happening, or how I can get the sync to work both ways?

I have found a way to get google calendar to sync with outlook 2010, so that piece works fine - this is remaining piece in the chain that I can't seem to get connected.

im not sure of what calendar i have but to sync it to my gmail account i had to create another gmail account separate from the one i wanted the calendar to sync to. once i did this it allowed me to select the gmail account i wanted to sync the calendar to (the one with already synced with contacts and gmail). then i deleted the random gmail account i had to create to do this because i dont need it on my phone. i realize this is off topic but i hope it helps you find out what you need to do.

After reviewing the issue, I have found information on resolving your email issue. The following steps should help to get your information synced as you like:

1. Go to 'My accounts' on your Droid 2
2. Click on 'Create Account'
3. Choose Google Account
4. Follow the process for creating a new Gmail account not just adding your original to create a dummy account
5. Make sure all sync options are checked
6. Finalize Account Creation
7. Go to your calendar and create a new event using your ORIGINAL gmail account not the new/dummy account
8. Save event
9. Go back into my accounts and check your original account sync options, calendar should now be there
10. Remove your dummy account from your phone
