Droid X Facebook Issue

I am having a problem with my Droid X and the default Facebook application installed on the phone. I noticed the problem started happening after the 2.2 update. At this time I have no solution on how I can correct this issue.

Basically all my Facebook information is updating correctly except for the profile pictures associated with each contact including my own. For instance, my Social Widget shows my current status on Facebook. That information always updates. However, what does not update is my profile picture within that widget. If I change my profile picture on FB, it does not update within the widget nor does it update on my contact list "Me". The same thing is happening with the rest of my FB contacts, their statuses do update, but whenever they change their profile picture, it does not update on my phone.

Is anyone else having this issue?

What I did to try and correct the problem was delete and re-add my FB account in my phone. This did update and sync all of the new pictures to the current ones but then it never updates there after.

Is there a solution for my phone to sync updated profile pictures from FB as it's suppose to do, other than removing and re-entering my FB account?

This was working perfectly before the update. I have tried everything to resolve this issue but have come up empty.

Please assist.

I don't have an X so I don't know the specifics of the social widget, but you might want to check your sync settings. From your homescreen, press menu> settings> accounts & sync> facebook, and make sure sync contacts is checked.

Hey Guys,

I am having the same problem and this is so frustrating. I like the idea that my phone would automatically keep my contacts' pictures up-to-date so when my phone rings and they show up on caller ID, it is their most recent facebook profile picture. I did the same thing by deleting and then adding my facebook account. It will pull down their latest profile picture, but never update it after that. It is annoying to see an old profile picture on my phone when know they have since been updated. I also have the issue with the "me" contact. I doesn't even update my picture in contacts. Does anybody have a work around or a fix? Somebody recommended installing an app called syncMyPix, but this is something that the phone should do automatically to be honest. I hope to hear some fixes for this issue :smileyhappy: .

Ok,

So I searched and found a thread about a similar problem. A Verizon Wireless employee actually says there is nothing else to do besides download the "syncmypix" application. I think that the phone should be able to do this from the factory, but it does not seem to be the case.
