Droid R2D2

Almost ready to upgrade my phone (13 days). Seriously considering the R2D2. The reviews are pretty good for it so far, but wanted to know if anyone could compare it to a BB. I have the Curve now and hate that the hourglass appears several times a day and I wind up missing important calls...not to mention the RIM issues that Verizon claim aren't their fault and having to do a battery pull several times a week.

 

Definitely want to go with a Droid, but wasn't sure if the R2D2 would be better than the BB.

Having an R2D2 version of the Droid 2 and having had a BB, all I can say is I like the Droid better. The screen is sharper, there are more apps, and the keyboard is better arranged. The one thing I miss about the BB is that Email accounts were much easier to set up. However, truth be known, comparing any Droid to any Blackberry is comparing apples to carrots. Different systems entirely, but my vote is for the R2D2.
