E-mail Alerts Keep Repeating

I have two e-mail accounts set up....one is g-mail, the other is through RoadRunner. These e-mails come into my DroidX. The gmail alerts notify me when the note initially gets recv'd and then they stop. RoadRunner alerts happen every 15 minutes. How do I stop the ongoing alerts so the alerts only happen one time (when the e-mail is initially recv'd)?

Tap on your Roadrunner account to open it up.

Tap on the menu key

Tap on Email Settings

Tap on EMail Delivery

Tap on Fetch Schedule and select the schedule you want, up to 4 hours. and close.

Thanks - doesn't that mean that my account would only 'look' for e-mail every 4 hours though?

It will download your Email every four hours, if that is the one you request. You also have a 30 minute and a one hour fetch time. If you have Data push selected. It will push your Email thru to you every time a new one comes in.
