Yes, it will come with an update to your phone. Go to Settings/About phone/System updates to see if there is an update available.
It will be for the Android 2.2 update that you are looking for. The 2.1-update1 is not the update with flash. 2.1 is a very minor update.
At the present time, nobody knows when the 2.2 update for the Droid X will be released. It could be days or weeks, but I have heard that the Droid X will get 2.2 sometime before the 13th of August.
Just keep checking for system updates every now & then. That's all we can do for now.
You don't really have to keep checking system update.I mean a notification of 2.2 update will be delivered to your phone when it is available. Then you can just select ''update now".
