Wi-Fi not connecting at home

I had to do a factory reset on my phone (because the Verizon salesperson didn't tell us that if we didn't have difference Gmail accounts we'd have all of each others contact). Now I cannot connect to my home wi-fi. My phone recognizes the wi-fi, but will only 'scan' then 'disconnect'. My husband can with his Droid X, but I can't. I can connect at work. Please help me correct this problem.

What I recommend is that you reset your router first. Once you have completed this, connect your device.

I had this problem too and after looking around the internet, it appears that there is a known problem with the phone's ability to connect to certain password-protected wi-fi networks.

I have a Linksys wireless router and had the same problem you are having. I was able to fix it by changing my router's encryption from TKIP/AES to AES only. (On my router, login to router, choose wireless, wireless security, encryption, AES.) I have not had any problems since then (*knock on wood*).
