Circle w/Arrow. Data sync?

An circle icon with a down arrow appeared in the upper left corner. is this an icon indicating an auto data sync? If so, will it stay there constantly? Thanks in advance

Pull down your notification bar and see. It can be sync, or a corporate email.

You can clear it ny pulling down the notification bar and hitting the "clear" button.
