Voicemail message appearing on SMS thread

Hello community!!

 

I come here asking for help; I have just gotten off the phone with Verizon Tech Support but couldnt get the full lowdown,.

 

I have owned a HTC Incredible since around June 6, 2010 and never noticed this issue until today; November 23rd.

 

Since when do Voicemail messages appear on the SMS threads?

 

A contact tried calling me one day and ended up leaving me a voicemail.

 

4 days later my billing cycle ends and I erase everything; start from scratch.  I delete my call list, and erase my SMS messages.  Today I went to my "people" icon; scrolled down and selected the individual and chose "send message" typed it (hello my friend) and then I noticed that the Voicemail message is at the top of the thread.

 

I dont think Ive ever seen that.

 

Is there a way to filter that out of my SMS messages thread? (that voicemail)??

 At this time there is no way to remove the voicemail from the contact thread. The way the phone is designed prevents this. The contacts text and voicemail notifications are linked, thus preventing removal.
