issue with receiving text messages

Hello. I have the HTC Incredible with the new 2.2 software. I've been having an issue with receiving text messages. I send them and my recipients are getting them within seconds. When they reply, I won't get the reply for several hours. Only happens sometimes, but been happening alot lately. Where I am sitting for 10 hours a day I get full bars of 3G.

Here is what I have tried with no success:

Rebooting Phone

Taking out battery and waited 15 mins. Turned back on.

*228, both prompt 1 and 2

Turned off mobile network and then turned back on

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Are you using the stock texting program or another such as Handcent?

Similar situation on my previous phone (env touch). Verizon customer serv opened a repair notice (or something like that) within 2 days something on their end was fixed and texts came almost immediately.

Yes, I've had exactly the same problem, this is also only after the 2.2. update for the Incredible

This is extremely annoying since I've missed some rather important SMS this way, and I was in an area where I had prefect reception. I hope whatever this is will be fixed ...

Just happened today again, the SMS was sent around 2pm, around around 6;30pm (from north Columbus to downtown Columbus .. my message had been received immediately by my friend (Sprint) but her reply took 4.5 hours - previous message in the exchange came almost immediately)

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be curious to hear them.
