I had an LG env3 with purchased ringtones. Can I transfer those ringtones to my Droid X.
BTW...thanks for answering my other two questions.
it depends how they were saved as sound or ringtones. i had some ringtones saved as ringtones on my voyager and there was no option to send but those i saved as sounds but used as ringtones could be sent.
a bit of a hassle but you can activate the old phone with *228/1, send/text the sounds to someone and when you reactivate the droid x, have them text/email them to you and see if they work.
That's what I was afraid of. I'll just make my own ringtones. Why pay someone for something that I can do myself.
i dl audacity and tried to convert a couple of ringtones to mp3 and got a message that they were unrecognized and needed to be converted before they could be worked with, so not much help + i didn't do a custom but still ended up with weatherbug, yahoo as start page.
i used something else yesterday to convert an aac file to mp3 but only used a trial version and audacity said aac was a file it didn't recognize so i'm not sure how long it'll stay on the pc but thx for the tip.
Isnt those audio files AAC or OGG, you should be about to convert them with Windows Media Playsr or a number of free apps online.
Yep, Audacity is an awesome program. I have been using it for awhile now to record old vinyl to mp3's. I have used it a couple of times to make a ringtone, so I'll just use it again. I just can't remember what my email address is in Verizon, so I can send the files to Verizon then download to my phone. Guess I'll go do some digging.
Unless you have Verizon home service they do not supply a email account for your device, you can send it to your gMail account that you set up for your device for your Google account.
