So the default music player will not play music I rip into a .wma file, but it will play .wma files I have downloaded from sites like Amazon and such. Why? If I tried a different music app, would that work?

I have provided information below that may help.
The HTC Incredible will play the following music formats:
· AAC+ · Enhanced AAC+ · MP3 · WMA · unprotected AAC
It will not support DRM files.
If the files are not DRM, I would recommend resetting the music application (Instructions below)
-Press Menu
-Select Settings
-Select Applications
-Select Manage Applications
-Select Music (or whatever media player you are using)
-Clear Data
the file you ripped may have been originally protected? if so, it's not going to play it. but i'm guessing there is a way to unprotect it if you know what you are doing.
