Phone won't work :/

I have had the Droid X for 35 days and I do not have phone insurance ....I had not had any problems with this phone until last week ...I was texting and looking at stuff on the internet as usual...I was about an hour away from home and had been gone all day so naturally the battery died .I went home and charged it like I always do at the end of the day ...I took it off charge once the battery reached 100% charged so I could set my alarm on it for school the next day. The phone powered on ...says DROID across the screen and then goes the red eye as usual when it is first turning on but then it just goes back to saying DROID and then the red eye again and it does this over and over again repeatedly until the battery dies out or I take the battery out . I have not dropped this phone or had it near any liquid so I do not know what the problem is unless it is something internally wrong with the phone...I tried rebooting it and it still continues to do this cycle . Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Sounds like you didn't give it a long enough charge. When the battery goes to less then 10%, and it sounds like yours went to almost zero, it needs a good 12 hour charge. The battery indicator may say 100% but the battery itself isn't fully charged. From what you said, it sounds like you only gave it a couple of hours of charge. Twelve hours. Plus, were you using the wall charger or did you have it hooked to your computer? If it was hooked to your computer for the charge, it wasn't getting what it needed. You have to use the wall charger for more power in cases like this.
