widgets on main screen

does anyone know how i get rid of a widget on a screen that i moved the widget to? i moved it there not knowing there were like 4 other screens i can navigate thru on the fone to see other widgets on there. i tried dragging it but didnt see the waste basket to where i can throw the widget into.

Just long press (about 1 second) on the widget you want to delete and the trash bin will show up at the bottom of the screen.  Drag the widget there and it's gone.
