Saving incoming picture messages to Gallery

I sent my pics from my pix place to my Fascinate and saved them, but I don't know where they are. How do I save pics from messages to the Gallery so I can use them for contacts and wallpaper?

Click the little "play" button

Hit menu

Hit "attached items"

Place a check mark and hit save

Then open gallery and it should be in there

Yeah that's what I did. It said saved but they are not in my gallery.

You may have to restart your phone so that phone rescans the sd card as it starts up or you can try the application SDrescan available in the Market. I have not used it yet but it was recommended by the folks at www.androidcentral.com.
