Does anyone know if it is possible to have holidays automatically show up on the built in Google calendar without having to manually add them? I have looked at the settings on the phone and calendar, but I have not seen that as an option anywhere.
Go to your Google Calendar online.
On the left side of screen, the last option should be "Other Settings"
Select settings under this area.
Make sure "Show in List" is checked under US Holidays
If US Holidays is not listed you may need to "Browse interesting calendars to select it.
On the Droid X
Open the Calendar app
Select Menu / More / My calendars
Make sure US Holidays and your gmail account calendar are both checked
This solution resolved the problem. Apparently I had not enabled US Holidays on my Gmail account's calendar. Once I did that and synced my calendar, TADA!! They showed up. Thanks for your help!!
Thank you this helped me with my holidays as well. But now I have an additional problem. <g> I subsribed to the NFL calendar for the Ravens, but I can't get it to show up on my droid X.
One other question, which you may not have the answer for: What kind of charges can I expect due to verifiying the Notifications feature. I set it up, thinking that it may help with the NFL calendar, but no luck.
Thanks for any additional help you can offer, in advance!
