Connecting D2 to PC says my SD card is unmounted.

This used to work.

I connect my D2 to my PC via a USB 2.0 cable to get a bunch of pics off my phone. The pics are on a SD card. Once connected to the PC I get a message stating my SD card is unmounted. If I disconnect the D2 from the PC I can see the SD card on my D2 and all my pics.

Why does my SD card unmount when I connect my D2 to my PC? Is there a real fix other than what I do now.

To get my pics off my D2 SD card I do this:

I connect the D2 to the PC. My Computer/removable drive. dcim has my pictures. Copy the pictures to my PC and disconnect the D2 from the PC.

Not happy about this but it works. I'm thinking all this happened after the D2 2.2 to 2.3 upgrade a couple of weeks ago.

When you connect an android phone to a computer, the card unmounts from the phone in order to mount to the computer. If you can see the contents of the card on your computer, you are doing it right.

Change the USB setting to 'charge only.'

On the pc, click the 'safely remove hardware' icon

Change the USB setting back to 'mass storage' and the sd card should remount to the phone.

Strange workaround but it seems to work.
