New feeds not updating, Location not updating using the cell towers

Prior to 2.2 update everything worked great, except for the PPTP.  But I could live without that.  After updating:

 

New feeds will not update.  Social feeds do update. 

 

Before the update Google Maps would update my location using the cell tower triangulation method.  Was not that accurate but it worked.  Now I just get the error message "Please set a location in setting".  When I try to use the gps method it works intermittently as well.  The error message is "Cannot update location at this time". 

 

Can I go back to the store and have them install 2.1 back on it?

2.1 cannot be loaded on a 2.2 bootloader.  So no, they cannot install 2.1 on your phone.

 

As for your GPS issues:  Go to Settings/locations & Security  Make sure the Use GPS satellites and Enable Assisted GPS are checked.
