Is there an itunes type software to install on a computer for the Fascinate? I'm looking for something that will do the same thing as itunes, backing up apps, music etc.

Yes there are many applications to back-up your applications and music. You can use DoubleTwist to back up your music and AppBrain to keep up with your applications and updates. Keep in mind applications are from third party users and are download at your own risk.
