Need to request blacklist removal for messages sent to vtext.com. Where is there a delist request page and/or is there postmaster@ address to contact?
The bounce message from vtext.com is :
552 5.2.0 123.45.678.90 blocked AUP#BL
Note the IP in that bounce message has been changed. I will provide actual IP/Block when I know how to request a delist. Thousands of verizon customers are not receiving email to text do to this blacklist event.
We would be happy to assist you with your concern. Please private message us for further assistance. *Mabell
done. Private message with details sent to vzw_customer_support
Going on 4 days and still blacklisted. Support case opened to a supposed “offline” team. I have followed up for status with no avail. I have requested responsible verizon aup mail offline team to contact me directly, again no go as the supposed “offline” team.
I can understand and appreciate the aup messaging policy, but there is a blackhole with regards to removal and or feedback to cause. Furthermore, aup blocks usually are temporary based on real time ip reputation and scoring algorithm. (ie, sending ip has performed immediate remediation which should auto remove, yet verizon mail servers continue with static aup block. Verizon support team should have a channel to the team responsible for aup blocking. 5-7 business day turnaround is a long TTR.
looking to have a direct or more knowledgeable conversation about this situation.
email gateway sending to vtext.com being blacklisted by vtext.com mailserver
(actual IP address are different than above)
We do not believe to be sending offending email to text to vtext.com, yet we are going on 10 days of thousands of business critical email to texts being blocked by the vtext.com server black list.
1. What are the vtext.com AUP parameters that constitute the AUP#BL
2. How can this be escalated. A case was created on 2/15/2023 with no updates, feedback. Seems to just go into a black hole.
3. Is verizon now requiring a pay to play email to text via the Enterprise Messaging Application Gateway (EMAG)? Seems that any type of volume sender and/or non-registered enterprise customer may be subject to the AUP#BL. We are in the dark here with noone in first line verizion support knowing where or who to go to. There are a plethora of community posts on this blacklisting issue.
I would appreciate answers directly to this post. I have already been the the cycle of "please direct message us so we can help" That led nowhere. I am sure many usesr and administrators need to know how they can route their business critical email to text via vtext reliably so critical alerts are received. (mostly used for alerts, disaster alerts etc).
If its now pay to play with the Enterprise Messaging Application Gateway (EMAG) customers NEED TO know as they may not control their mail gateways and administrators need to know so they can find workarounds to ensure their critical alerting is reliable.
We also have ran into this issue, probably about the same time you did, no end in sight.
Bounce: 552 5.2.0 <ipAddress> blocked AUP#BL
Looking at their MX records, they're using a cloud based mail filter "Cloud Filter", which, is a CloudMark/ProofPoint solution. Historically ProofPoint has blocked many legitimate emails from my experience.
If Verizon seriously doesn't want people to use <phoneNumber>@vtext.com, they need to communicate this with their clientele.
I honestly think they blacklisted everyone, except maybe the Gmail and the Microsofts of the world. Through testing, they continue to allow both Microsoft and Gmail to use @VTEXT.com, but have not found any small companies running their own mail server to use it anymore. This is completely unacceptable and has anti-trust written all over it IMHO.
I have iphone 15 pro and it’s black listed
@vzw_customer_support - the company I work for is having a similar issue. I called [phone number removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] using our company wireless account and when I finally spoke with a rep and explained the situation, she hung up on me. What are options for dealing with issues sending to vtext.com addresses?
