Speakers

Hello everybody,

I'm on my 5th Incredible since April. I love the phone but the speaker that plays media and rings keeps breaking. I've brought it to Verizon's attention but they keep saying it's not a typical issue with the phone. I've called them and wrote them to let me switch to a different type of phone, but they will only keep sending me Incredibles. If you've had this problem, Please Please Please write them an email to their customer service and let them know it is not just me having the problem, as one of them inferred.

Is there any "use" habits in which your speaker incurred damage, or is prone to break? I have had zero problems with the speakers. Although, in a different (but similar) issue, I have heard of some losing vibrating (which was a huge disappointment to said users).

the speakers are cheap. it's an issue and they are aware of it. but wont do anything about it. it was my first complaint when i got the device and there are many old threads regarding it (may-june) it's really up to HTC to use a different speaker, but don't count on that. these are now nearly 8 months old and i'm sure they aren't about to start changing manufacturing hardware that they use. just tap the back of you inc and you can here a rattle. that's cheap. while mine hasn't blown and i really haven't had any problems, i know it's cheap because i've heard other devices that get twice as loud and are still crystal clear (some of the blackberries come to mind).
