power of attorney documents

Hello, I am power of attorney for an elderly lady with dementia. She is no longer able to manage her account. I need to cancel the automatic withdrawal on her account as she needs this money for her care. How can I gain access to her account using the poa document I have?

I have been to Verizon stores and they are no help, they don't seem to have the information and they give me numbers to call that don't know either.

I am hoping to hear from others including Verizon reps who may have the answers.

We certainly want to make sure that you're able to process the necessary account changes as Power of Attorney. For authorization to be granted, documentation will first need to be sent to our Correspondence Team. Please email the Durable Power of Attorney (POA) or Guardianship / Conservatorship for the Verizon Account Owner to DocumentI@hq.verizonwireless.com.

Make "POA / Conservatorship Documentation" the subject line of your email.

In the body of the email, include the following:

• Your name • Your contact number • The Verizon account number for the impacted line(s) • The Account Owner's name • The number of pages in the POA or Guardianship documents

Attach a PDF version of your unexpired POA or Guardianship / Conservatorship documents. Please provide every page including the cover page, seal and signatures.
