Verizon's $200 Giftcard Offer

Buyer beware Verizon will make it very difficult to redeem your $200 gift cards for switching. I switched 3 lines over from Tmobile. Verizon was offering $200 gift cards per line for switching. I never received notifications on redeeming the offer even though they said to check for it. I contacted support multiple times and got the run around. Of course they'll respond and act like they want to help but you'll get nowhere. This went on for 2 months. Finally got a rep to give me the promo code that I needed to redeem the offer. I thought to myself "gee why wasn't it this easy the first several times I tried?". Well it turns out by then I was no longer eligible because it was too late. Now mind you I have it on record that I contacted support multiple times within the timeframe and each time I got the runaround until it was too late. I literally contacted them 5 days after my purchase to get the promo code and got no help. Now my redemption has officially been denied so Verizon doesn't have to pay me $600 worth of gift cards. The fact there are so many people having problems redeeming this offer is no accident. Well now they got me locked in for 2 years but you can be sure that as soon as my contract is up I'm switching. Right off the bat Verizon has shown that they are an unethical company. I will never give them my business again.

My rebate has already been denied due to it not being submitted on time. My issue is that the process was very difficult and it appears to be purposeful. The fact that so many others are having problems redeeming the offer doesn't seem to be a coincidence. Had the customer service rep provided the promo code when I asked then my rebate would've been submitted in time. I asked for assistance with a few days of purchase. The rep I spoke to would not provide the code and told me I had to speak with the porting team. Of course when I called the number I was on hold forever and finally gave up. I read in two separate areas where it said rebates must be submitted within 30 days and another where it said 60 days. Well which is it? At this point my rebates have already been denied so unless there's some other recourse then it's wasting my time just like all the time I've spend trying to get this rebate the past 2 months.

I am having the same problem. I ported in 4 new lines at the end of June. When I call support, they can't find the promotion and they transfer me to the gift card department who then try to transfer me elsewhere where I just go in circles. This was the deciding factor in switching from AT&T who I had been with for more than 10 years. I am owed $800! Please help!

I bought internet today and was told I would get a $200 target gift card and I have no idea how or where to get it. Nothing appears in my email or on my app.. I bought internet and two new iPhone and just recently switched from T-mobile today. It says it must be submitted by: 04/17/2024 and it’s already 7:40PM and I have no clue what to do.

I have same exact problem. Was promised $200 Verizon gift cards for lines switched from T-Mobile to Vernon. I was told that I will get email notification to follow the process to get the gift card. I have kept checking for email or notifications for card or codes to redeem but no news so far. Called the rep but they have no answer. This is quite disappointing after switching.

I'm going through this right now with a $200 gift card. First Verizon failed to get our new phone out on time....or they didn't use the right carrier service for the expected arrival date. Point is...It didn't show up and appeared to have been delayed one town away for whatever reason. This was AFTER they had already shown me an "estimated next bill" that was WAY too high - during our initial chat. It took an HOUR or more of online chatting to get the right numbers to show up. Anyway...1st phone didn't show...so they CANCELED that phone (and its assigned phone number) and shipped another one with expedited s&H (which I had to pay up front) and said it would arrive on time if we did that. I was leaving for vaca the day after it was promised to arrive. Ultimately that phone arrived late as well and we had to delay leaving because it was needed for this trip. They promised to refund activation fee and s&H - too little too late in my opinion. I had already filled out the rebate request at this point. As it turns out...it was apparently ONLY for the first phone and its assigned number. They are telling me now to WAIT for it to SEE IF it comes through - EVEN THOUGH the rebate company (yourwirelessrebate / digitalrebatecenter.com - a highly suspicious site according to any antivirus app) indicates it is ATTACHED to the number for the phone we NEVER EVEN RECEIVED...and yet ....receiving and keeping that phone activated is EXACTLY what qualifies you for the rebate. See how this is all working out? If you deactivate the phone within 12 months they reserve the right to charge back the $200 to the consumer through their Verizon bill. Nice loophole eh? To top it off, we are being charged activation fee and month of fees / service for the phone and number we NEVER EVEN RECEIVED. I spent 1.5hrs on chat with them yesterday (8/15/24) trying to resolve it. They resolved a small portion of it so far but when I login...I still owe at least $100 more than what is truly due. And even if the rebate DOES go through....I've already been forewarned that it can be charged back to me. Feels like it's designed to happen this way. My goal is to spend as much of their time as I can until they realize it won't work running me around. Sadly, I've already lost 3+hrs of my personal time just trying to get an iPhone 14 for my daughter. Verizon should be paying ME at this point.
