Can't Sign-in to MY VERIZON because my phone is broken and can't receive the verification code

Question

This isn't a Google specific problem.  My google phone is broken and a new one will be arriving in a couple of days.  So for now I want (NEED) to be able to view my incoming and send outgoing messages online through My Verizon.  However, the only option for logging into My Verizon is by verifying my identity with a code sent to MY BROKEN PHONE.  No other options.  When I try the "live chat" feature, all I get is completely irrelevant suggestions from a very much not-live bot, and then when I ask to speak with a live agent, it tells me I have to sign in first.  Which of course I can't do.  And there isn't a phone number to call, not that I have a phone to call with anyway.

Sorry to hear your phone is broken. There is nothing Verizon can do if you have 2-factor authentication setup and cannot verify the account access request. This is why it's good to keep an old phone around as a spare for times like this. Any cheap old phone that you can put a SIM in and activate for a few days while waiting on a replacement phone.
