Older micro sim card doesn't fit newer S22+

2 part problem:

1. The older Micro sim card does not fit in the newer Nano drawer in S22+ I just bought.

2. It is unlocked but was not a Verizon phone so just adding a new Nano sim card results in error.

Is it possible to take it to a Verizon store to have them clone the sim card on to a Verizon phone then install in my phone?

Is there a better solution?
