I have a Samsung Galaxy S22+ which, after a recent OTA update, began throwing the error 'Non-Verizon SIM card inserted' and asking for a code from Verizon to unlock to use the phone on another carrier. However, I had the same Verizon SIM card in there that had been working for a year.
I went to the Verizon store and got a new SIM card. Same error. Reset the network, factory reset the device, same error. I spent 2 hours on the phone with a Verizon level 2 technician and we tried adding an eSIM, also tried entering some codes, not able to unlock or make the error go away. This error blocks mobile network access and so my phone is effectively useless.
Any ideas for what to try next?
