send and receive text messages in Verizon's website

The ability to send and receive text messages in Verizon's website will be discontinued on 12/11/23. You can continue to use the Android and iOS versions on mobile devices or the Mac desktop version.

what are folks suppose to do? I am not allowed to have my phone in the building and we use the website to text message in case of a family emergency

I ask support and we go around in circles asking me for more information and have no knowledge of this on there website the C/S is totally useless seeking help

If you have an Android and if it's possible to have your phone in the building one time to set up the pairing, you could consider Messages by Google

this wont work I work in a location that phones are not allowed in and we can only use the internet on a desktop

What if you initiate pairing on your desktop in the Google Messages app and save a screenshot of the QR code needed to pair your phone? Then email that saved screenshot to yourself where you can open it on your phone outside of the office and scan the QR code? I haven't tried it but it might be a workaround to your work security restrictions.
