We use our Orbic as the wifi connection for security cameras, at a place where we can not get traditional land based wifi. There is excellent cell reception, however. As the Orbic hotspot is not supposed to be plugged in 24/7, the power to charge it is timed to go on and off, every three hours. I've never seen the charge go below about 85%.
It works fine, for about 10-14 days at a time. I've checked data usage and it's a small fraction of the plan we've subscribed to. After roughly two weeks, the Orbic will stay powered on, the devices are still connected and it never fully loses charge, however, it disconnects from the internet. We see the 4G or 5G symbol, with a line through it. We have to pull the battery and reboot and all is good for almost exactly another couple of weeks.
Is this normal? Is there a cap for continuous internet connection?
Is there any way to send a reboot request from a remote location to the hotspot? We're not always there, when it decides to stop playing.
