On 11/4/2023 I trade in my iPhone 11 Pro and bought iPhone 15 pro from Verizon. As per the deal, I was supposed to get $830 as billing credit over 3 years.
Verizon received the trade in device on 11/13/2023 and said they will complete evaluation by 11/28/2023 and credit will be applied within 1 to 2 billing cycle.
As I didn’t get any information from Verizon on the estimated value or billing credit, I reached to customer service.
Customer service said in order to get the billing credit my plans need to be unlimited unlimited. Since my plan is not unlimited unlimited, I will not get billing credit and they will also not return my old phone.
I understand if there was such condition and I didn’t notice, I shouldn’t get billing credit, but shouldn’t I get some credit based on their evaluation as a gift card or so? How can Verizon just keep my phone and not give any credit or return my phone? It’s more like stealing customers phones.
