long story short switched to verizon from tmobile, upgraded to a pixel 8 pro through verizon directly. been rooting my pixels since the first pixel, hoping to continue. i'm reading on other subs/forums/etc and that some people believe verizon somehow completely prevents a subscriber from unlocking the bootloader, even after the 60 days+phone being paid off completely. Is this true...? I picked up my phone yesterday, so if this is the case I'll just go back to t-mobile or something. buying a pixel phone and not being able to root or unlock the bootloader seems silly to me. thanks.
